🌟 We pay tribute to one of our first designs that has been with us from the beginning and a bag lover – Gaya. 🌟
History of Gaya
Gaya arose by chance, or rather as a further development of an idea that could not be realized at the time. And the beauty of the creative process is that it is constantly evolving, and that is exactly what we want to celebrate. The magic happens between idea and finished product, and our passion lies precisely where the development takes place - in the process. ✨
The popular designs
The Gaya design has been a firm favorite with our customers and we continue to receive positive comments on the bag's design. But unfortunately we also have to say goodbye to this unique design. The reason is that the production of Gaya is not scalable and depends on coincidences, such as the use of advanced techniques and the desire for high quality certified and chrome-free leather. It is a bag with happy customers in Denmark, but also internationally.
Gaya is conceived as a luxurious canvas shopper in leather, with a slim silhouette but with extra pockets to organize your things. It's designed for those days when you don't need to take much with you, but still want to look good. That said, it also holds a 15-inch laptop.
Limited edition design
One of the most challenging techniques is the beautiful leopard embroidery on the front of the bag, which requires a very high minimum order. This was a big challenge, especially when we started Hymness. The Gaya design began as a "dream-big" idea, aware of the challenges we faced. Luckily for us, we managed to get the embroidery factory to accept a smaller order - something they don't normally do.
The combination of an unscalable creative process and our desire to use specific materials, e.g. GOTS certified lining and chrome-free leather from a certified tannery made Gaya a limited edition design. We are proud of this beautiful product and although we have to say goodbye, we are grateful for the journey it has taken us on. A result of our experience for techniques and possibilities as well as an indispensable network.
New Beginnings
We are now selling the last of our Gaya Bags at a very good price, together with the other bags from our workshop in India. We have chosen to say goodbye to production in India in order to get our products very close, with production in Portugal, which opens up completely new and exciting possibilities - New access to materials, 'finish' and techniques.
Thank you to all of you who have shared this journey with us and supported Gaya. We look forward to continuing to create new, exciting designs that reflect our passion for quality and creativity.
