We are celebrating one of our first designs that has been with us from the beginning and a bag we absolutely love – Gaya. 

Gaya came about by chance, or rather as an evolution of another idea that couldn't be realized at the time. The beauty of the creative process is that it constantly evolves, and that's exactly what we want to celebrate. The magic happens between the idea and the finished product, and our passion lies precisely in that space where development occurs – in the process. ✨

A Customer Favorite

The Gaya design has been a favorite among our customers, and we still receive incredibly positive comments on its design. Unfortunately, we must also say goodbye to this unique design. The reason is that the production of Gaya is too costly relative to what we can realistically charge for it, particularly due to the advanced techniques and quality materials used.

The Challenges of Gaya's Production

One of the most challenging techniques is the beautiful leopard embroidery on the front of the bag, which requires a very high minimum - which in our case would mean 'overproduction'. This was a significant challenge, especially when we started Hymness. The Gaya design began as a "dream-big" idea, fully aware of the challenges we faced. Fortunately, we succeeded in getting the embroidery factory to accept a smaller order – something they normally don't do.

A Limited Edition Masterpiece

The combination of an unscalable creative process and our desire to use chrome-free leather from a certified tannery made Gaya a limited edition design. We are proud of this beautiful product, and although we must say goodbye, we are grateful for the journey it has taken us on.

New Beginnings

We are now selling the last of our Gaya Bags at a very good price, along with other bags from our workshop in India. We have decided to say goodbye to production in India to bring our products closer to home, and they are now produced in Portugal. Here, we have succeeded in reaching our dream tannery, including a family-owned factory nearby to sew our bags.
